Mermaid (red, deckle-edged card)

Greetings card hand block printed on red (not recycled) card with black ink.
This design came out of my head... I was looking to do some new drawings for cards, which could be also used as seasonal cards. So I came up with the idea of a series of cards containing stars... hence the starfish. All a bit obscure. But it is a fun design, and I'm happy with the 'block print' look of this one, it has the 'graphic' feel which I was after.
 
This red card is 270gsm, but it's much harder pressed than the usual card I use, so it appears a bit thinner.  It has a smooth surface. Note that the colour in the photo is not very representative - the swatches are closer.
Cards are individually hand printed using an antique press. The blocks are cut by hand, from original drawings. All designs are copyright and unique to Ludlow Gothik.
