Belle (red card)

Greetings card hand block printed on red (not recycled) card.
Belle is a drawing which came out of my head. I'd been looking at some of the classic Art Nouveau illustrations, and I wanted this to be a cross between a face, and a design. But somehow, in the block cutting process, the face has become more 'real' than I bargained for... So I have named this card after Belle from 'Beauty and the Beast'.
This red card is 270gsm, but it's much harder pressed than the usual card I use, so it appears a bit thinner.  It has a smooth surface. Note that the colour in the photo is not very representative - it's more of a bright red.
Cards are individually hand printed using an antique press. The blocks are cut by hand, from original drawings. All designs are copyright and unique to Ludlow Gothik.
