Blogging from the print room...

I did a sketch a couple of days ago, of a goblin playing a banjo... I've been converting this to a printing block, and I'm just about ready to run a test print.

After cutting out the detail, the next stage is a general clean up, taking out all the cutting lines which would show on the final print. But I think I'll leave this block with a lot of 'noise' ie not clean it up too far - if I make it too precise, it will lose that nice 'hand worked' property which I think is all a part of this image. We'll see how it prints. This is the original drawing, I'll post the first print later...
